お茶会体験

７月２日（金）
今日は，遊戯室がいつもと違う雰囲気です。
壁に掛け軸，床に畳や毛氈。
年長・ことり組の子どもたちが，
お茶会体験をしました。
先生からお茶会のお話を聞いたり，
お茶会の絵本を見たり，
やり方を見せてもらったりして，
子どもたちは２つのグループに分かれて
自分でお茶を点てたり，飲んだりしました。
甘いお菓子を食べてから飲むお茶はおいしかったそうです。
年少・はな組の子どもたちは，
少し離れて見学していました。

Friday, July 2
The playroom had a different atmosphere than usual.
Kakejiku, hanging scrolls on the wall, tatami mats, felt on the floor.
The older class Kotori-gumi children experienced the Japanese tea ceremony.
They heard the explanation of the tea party from the teacher,
saw a picture book of a tea party and learned how to do it.

The children were divided into two groups and they made and drank their own tea.
Children said that the tea that after ate sweets was delicious.
The younger class, the Hana-gumi children saw them from a distance.

今日は，雨が降ったり止んだりの一日でした。

子どもたちは，雨がやんでいる間に，近くの桝形商店街へお散歩に出かけました。

子どもたち自身が飾り付けた七夕の笹を見るためです。

子どもたちは，自分で作った飾りや短冊を探して指さしていました。

皆さんも商店街に買い物に行かれた時に，笹飾りを見て下さいね。

Sippo-tori しっぽ取り

How should we translate "Sippo-tori"?
"Sippo" is tail in Japanese.
"Tori" is take,get,hunt .

The tail is made by braiding the packing string and attaching clothespins to one end.
Children attach the tail to the hem of their own shirt with clothespins.
Therefore, this tail can be easily removed by grasping and pulling it.
Children move around with agility, taking care not to be taken their own tails, and take each other's tails.
Children play individual battles and team battles.This is one of the children's favorite games.

Now, how do you translate "Sippo-tori", everyone?
Tug tails？　Tail　hunting？　Tail　fighiting？ Take away tails？

「しっぽ取り」って，どう訳したらいいのでしょう。
「しっぽ」は，tail。「とり」は，take away get hunt・・・？

荷造りひもを三つ編みにして，その一方の端に洗濯ばさみを取り付けたものが尻尾です。子どもたちは，この尻尾を自分のシャツの裾などに洗濯ばさみで取り付けます。ですから，この尻尾は，掴んで引っ張ると簡単に外れます。子どもたちは，機敏に体を動かして動き回り，自分の尻尾を取られないように気を付けながら，お互いの尻尾を取り合うのです。子どもたちは，個人戦をしたり，チーム戦をしたりします。子どもたちの大好きな遊びの一つです。

Children decorate bamboo branches with origami decorations and strips.
Kids spread their imagination with the story of the stars in the night sky.

七夕は伝統的な初夏のイベントです。

7月7日は、夜空の星の川，天の川で隔てられた織姫と牽牛が
年に一度だけ会うことができる日です。

子どもたちは折り紙の飾りや短冊で笹の枝を飾ります。

子どもたちは夜空の星の物語で想像力を膨らませます。

プールそうじ Fun after cleaning the pool

６月２３日に
「京極みんなの会」（おやじの会を改称しています。）に
お世話になって，
園庭に仮設プールを設えていただきました。
ありがとうございました。
６月２４日は，
年長・ことり組の子どもたちが，水着になって
そのプールをごしごしおそうじ。
２年ぶりのおそうじの後，
子どもたちもプールの中でシャワーを浴びて
楽しそう。

年長・ことり組の子どもたちは，竹馬を作りました。

竹馬に乗るのは，とっても，とっても難しいです。

何度も何度も挑戦しなければなりません。

でも，子どもたちは，竹馬に乗れると信じています。

だって，お家の人といっしょにつくった竹馬なんですから。

Honma-mon as the real thing for children

We want children to see, touch, and smell the real thing before seeing it in photos and videos.

Children of Kyogoku Kindergarten have grown as many as 30 kinds of real crops this year.

The mayor of Kyoto City is also calling for valuing Honma-mon as the real thing.

We want our children to harvest the cucumbers that are on the branches, to dig up the potatoes in the soil, and to taste the crops they have grown.

子どもたちには，写真や動画で見る前に，実物を見たり，触れたり，においをかいだりさせたいのです。

京極幼稚園の子どもたちは，今年，30種類もの作物を育てています。

子どもたちには，枝になるキュウリを収穫したり，土の中からジャガイモを掘り出したり，収穫したものを味わったりさせたいのです。

京都市の市長様も，「ほんまもん」を大事にしようと呼びかけられています。

預かり保育「おひさま広場」の時間に

地域のボランティアの方に絵本の読み聞かせをしていただきました。

ただの読み聞かせではありません。

中国から来たお友達だけでなく

子どもたちは，興味をもって絵本を見ていました。
