3月28日（土）に、「英語村」10周年記念式典とホームカミングイベントを開催しました。午前中には、英語村の開村当初から関わってこられた多くのご来賓の皆さまにご出席いただき、式典が行われました。式典では、ご来賓の皆さまによるご祝辞をはじめ、在校生代表スピーチ、卒業生によるトークセッション、英語村村長Krisによるスピーチ、生徒会長代表によるスピーチが行われました。参加者は懐かしい思い出に浸りながら、英語村のこれまでの10年間の歩みと発展を共にお祝いしました。

昼食後にはホームカミングが開催され、100名を超える卒業生・在校生が参加しました。懐かしい先生方や友人との再会に、会場は笑顔と喜びの声に包まれました。ホームカミングはオープニングビデオから始まり、過去10年間のイベントや日常の様子を振り返る映像に、会場からは歓声が上がりました。また、懐かしい先生方からのスピーチもあり、会場は笑顔とともに感動の涙にも包まれました。Kahoot!を使用したクイズセッションでは、「Hello Villageの2つ目の“L”の意味は？」「Hello Villageに在籍したことのないALTの出身国はどこ？」など、英語村にまつわるクイズが多数出題されました。参加者はグループで協力しながら回答し、大いに盛り上がりました。15:00からの交流会では、長年食堂でおいしい昼食を提供してくださっていたタクさんが、キンパや唐揚げ、ヤンニョムチキンなどを販売してくださいました。参加者は懐かしい味を求めて列を作り、交流を楽しんでいました。さまざまな国のお菓子も提供され、食事やお菓子を囲みながら思い出話に花を咲かせていました。

「英語村」をこれまで特別な場所として大切に思い、支えてくださっている皆さま、本当にありがとうございます。これからの10年も、この大切な雰囲気を守りながら、新しいことにもどんどん挑戦していきたいと思います。

On Saturday, March 28, the 10th Anniversary Ceremony of Hello Village and Homecoming event was held.
The ceremony took place in the presence of many distinguished guests who have been involved with Hello Village since its founding, creating a warm yet formal atmosphere.

The program included speeches from our honored guests, a speech by a current student representative, a talk session by alumni, a speech by Hello Village mayor Kris, and a speech by the student council president. Participants reflected on memories while celebrating the 10-year journey and growth of Hello Village.

After lunch, a Homecoming event was held, with more than 100 alumni and current students in attendance. The venue was filled with smiles and joyful conversations as participants reunited with former teachers and friends.

The Homecoming began with an opening video, featuring highlights from the past 10 years, which brought cheers from the audience. This was followed by speeches from former teachers, creating both heartwarming and emotional moments.

During the quiz session using Kahoot!, participants enjoyed a variety of questions related to Hello Village, such as “What does the second ‘L’ in Hello Village stand for?” and “Which country is NOT the home country of any ALT who has worked at Hello Village?” Working together in teams, participants enthusiastically took part in the activity.At 3:00 p.m., a social gathering was held. As a special guest, Taku, who had long provided delicious meals in the school cafeteria, returned to serve dishes such as kimbap, fried chicken, and yangnyeom chicken. Many participants lined up to enjoy these nostalgic flavors while continuing to connect with one another. A variety of international snacks was also provided, allowing everyone to share stories and memories over food.

Over the next 10 years, we hope to preserve its unique atmosphere while continuing to embrace new ideas and challenges.
