We held our second Pub Quiz this year on September 10th in the Communication Space of HELLO Village.

A pub quiz is a team-based trivia competition that started in Britain in the 1970s. Today, it has become a popular activity around the world, enjoyed in countries including the UK, Canada, and the United States.

We welcomed students from Niseko High School in Hokkaido for a special Pub Quiz exchange event. The students from Niseko High School and Hiyoshigaoka High School were divided into five mixed teams and enjoyed taking on a variety of quizzes, including “Word Search,” “Common Answers,” “One of a Kind,” and “Music Video Quiz.”

This time, many of the questions focused on comparing Kyoto and Hokkaido. Students drew on their knowledge of their respective regions and worked together within their teams to discuss the questions and come up with the answers.

Through the quiz, students also had the opportunity to learn about the differences and similarities between the two regions. The event was filled with smiles, laughter, and enthusiastic cheers throughout, making it a lively and enjoyable opportunity for students from both schools to interact and learn from one another.

9月10日（木）放課後、英語村コミュニケーションスペースでPub QuizⅡを開催しました。

Pub Quizとはイギリスで１９７０年代に始まったもので現代ではイギリス、カナダ、アメリカなどの世界の多くの国々で親しまれているトリビアクイズ大会です。

今回は、北海道からニセコ高校の生徒たちをお迎えして開催しました。ニセコ高校と日吉ヶ丘高校の生徒たちは混合５チームに分かれ「Word Search」「Common Answers」「One of a Kind」、「Music Video Quiz」等のクイズを大いに楽しみながら挑戦しました。京都と北海道を比較する問題も多く出題され、両校の生徒たちはそれぞれの地域について持っている知識を活かしながら、チーム内で相談して答えを導き出していました。お互いの地域の違いや共通点についても知ることができ、終始笑顔と歓声があふれる、大いに盛り上がった交流の時間となりました。
