HELLO Village Week I も3日目を迎え、CIEE留学生最後の25名グループが英語村を訪問してくれました。

この日のイベントは「Open ESS」。ESS部員だけでなく、誰でも参加できる特別イベントとして開催され、ALTやCIEE留学生と一緒にさまざまなゲームを楽しみました。

フィリピン出身のALTが母国で親しまれている「10-20」「Sipa」「Jackstones」「Pickup Sticks」の4つの伝統的なゲームを紹介してくれました。

生徒たちはCIEE留学生とともに4つのグループに分かれ、ローテーション形式で全てのゲームを体験しました。

初めて挑戦するゲームばかりでしたが、どのブースからも笑い声が聞こえ、大いに盛り上がりました。ゲームを通して自然に英語でコミュニケーションを取りながら、お互いの文化に触れ、交流を深める貴重な機会となりました。

HELLO Village Week I reached its third day, and the final group of 25 CIEE students visited HELLO Village.

The day’s event was Open ESS, a special activity open not only to ESS members but also to any students who wished to participate. Students enjoyed a variety of games prepared by the ALTs together with the CIEE students.

In particular, one of our ALTs from the Philippines introduced four traditional Filipino games: “10-20,” “Sipa,” “Jackstones,” and “Pickup Sticks.”

The CIEE students and Hiyoshigaoka High School students were divided into four groups and rotated through each station, giving everyone the chance to experience all of the games.

Since most of the students were playing these games for the first time, every activity was filled with excitement and laughter.

Through the games, students communicated naturally in English, experienced another culture, and deepened their connections with one another.
