今週は感謝祭の由来についての英語を放送します。
学習する単語は、５つです。

This year Thanksgiving Day is on November 26th.
A long time ago the pilgrims went to America from England. A cold winter came and many people died. Later native Americans helped them. They taught the pilgrims how to hunt turkeys, how to garden, and gave them a lot of food. The pilgrims thanked them.
That’s how the first thanksgiving started.

※感謝祭は11月の第４木曜なので今年は、11月26日です。1620年、イギリスからthe pilgrims がアメリカに到着しました。その年の冬は、とても寒さが厳しく大勢の死者が出たそうです。Native Americans がそんな彼らを助け、彼らは大変感謝しました。このようなところから感謝祭が始まったようです。
