 今日,中ぼし をしました!

 中干し作業とは!

 分けつが終わるころ,稲の茎の数が,15本程度に増えるか,草丈が50センチくらいになったところ,いったんバケツの中の水をぬいて土をかわかす作業のことです!
 中干しの主目的は,土の中の有毒なガスをぬいて,空気中の酸素をとりこむことにあるそうです!
 また,土が乾燥すると稲の根の活力が高まり,根が水を求めてのびるので,丈夫な稲が育つのです!
 つまり、バケツの中いっぱいに地下に根がはり、穂が出ても倒れにくい丈夫な稲に育つのだそうです!
