１９５１（昭和２６）年，明治神宮外苑で行われた進駐軍主催のカーニバルの模擬店で，日本で初めてソフトクリームが販売された！

　なんと，ソフトクリームのルーツは4,000年前の中国だそうな！
　長時間煮た牛乳を雪で冷やして柔らかく固めて糊状にした氷菓で，食感はシャーベットに近いものであったそうです！
