Summer Day Camp Part II

　サマーデイキャンプ午後の部では、まず初めに「Fashion Show」が行われました。各チームは想像力あふれるオリジナルの服を考え、ファッションショーにおいて、その服の魅力を伝えました
　その後は、拡大版の「Pub Quiz」が行われ、「Word Search」、「Hot Seat」、「Music Video」といったおなじみのクイズに加え、様々な問いに答える先生たちの答えを予想する「Know Your Teachers」なども行われ、生徒たちは頭を抱えながらも、協力して正解を導き出していました。
　様々なアクティビティを全て英語で行うことにより、英語の力を身につけることはもちろん、創造力やチームワークを発揮する活動も多数あり、皆で協力して何かを成し遂げるよい機会となりました。
　HELLO Villageではこれからも、ここでしか体験することのできない様々な経験を提供していきたいと思っております。
　
　The first activity in the afternoon was ‘Fashion Show’. Students made their original clothes and joined HELLO Village Fashion Show, explaining their concept and brand name.
　After that, as the second activity, we had an extended version of Pub Quiz. Facing and struggling with the quiz challenges such as ‘Word Search’, ‘Hot Seat’, and ‘Music Video’ as well as ‘Know Your Teachers’ (Guessing teachers’ answers to questions such as ‘What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?’), they finally reached the correct answers with other teammates.
　For students, Summer Day Camp was a perfect opportunity for not only improving their English through the ‘English Only’ environment, but also achieving a common goal as a team. We are really glad that all the students enjoyed the day camp.
　We are going to offer opportunities for students to enjoy diverse experiences they can only have here in HELLO Village.

Summer Day Camp Part I

　7月17日（月）、２年次生を対象にした2023年度のサマーデイキャンプが行われました。幸い天候にも恵まれ、集まった生徒たちは40名以上で、クリス村長、ALT6人、英語科の教員と共に一日英語漬けの時間を楽しみました。今回は生徒４〜６名とALT１〜２名からなる7つのチームで、様々なアクティビティに参加し、アクティビティごとに得られる得点の合計を競いました。
　サマーデイキャンプ午前の部では、まず「Guess Who」というアクティビティを行ない、その後グループに分かれて自己紹介を行いました。各チームは自分たちのチーム名とスローガンを決め、それぞれ個性的なオリジナルのチームフラッグを作り、団結力を高めました。次に、紙で作るタワーの高さを競う「Building a Tower」に挑戦しました。そして、午前中最後のアクティビティとして、各チームは自分たちのチームフラッグをもって、スカベンジャーハント（宝探し）を行うため、学校を飛び出し、周辺地域へと出かけていきました。

　2023 Summer Day Camp was held at HELLO Village on July 17th. About 40 second-graders enjoyed this ‘English Only’ environment with the Mayor Kris, ALTs, and English teachers. 7 teams composed of ４-6 students and 1-2 ALTs joined various activities and competed each other for the first place.
　In the first part of the camp, we had the first activity ‘Guess Who’, and then students were divided into groups and introduced themselves. Each group made its own team flag having the team-name and slogan. Under the same flag, students got ready to work together for various activities in this event. After that, they enjoyed the activity ‘Building a Tower’ (building a paper-tower as high as possible). As the last activity in the morning, students joined Scavenger Hunt, walking around the vicinity of the school.
