Global Festa 2020

12月12日（土）、「市立高校グローバルフェスタ2020」が中学2年生を対象に京都工学院高等学校で開催されました。日吉ケ丘高校を含めた市立高校計9校が集まり、体験授業という形で各校それぞれの特色や魅力を発信しました。

本校からは1年生・2年生の7名が、体験授業の先生役として参加し、本校の特色・魅力発信ということで、参加者の中学生に対して授業はすべて英語で行われました。
英語の比較級をテーマにした授業は、英語での自己紹介から始まり、簡単なウォームアップクイズ、英語文法の比較級を使ったクイズなどが行われ、終始楽しい雰囲気で溢れていました。

すべて英語の授業ということで中学生は緊張していたものの、本校の生徒が優しく声をかけたり、リードしてあげることで、「英語を話す」という楽しさを実感できのではないかと思います。期末テスト後で練習する時間が限られていた中で、生徒たちは素晴らしい授業を作ってくれました。

体験授業に参加してくださった中学生、保護者の方からはたくさんのお褒めの言葉を頂き、本校生徒もまた「教える楽しさ」というものを新たに学ぶことができた貴重な機会となりました。本校の体験授業にご参加頂きました中学生、保護者のみなさま、ありがとうございました。

On Dec 12th, Global Festa 2020 was held for 2nd grade junior high school students at Kyoto Kogakuin High School. 9 schools from Kyoto City including Hiyoshigaoka gathered and introduced their school’s features.
7 of our students participated in the event as teachers to do a demonstration lesson.
The class was done all in English to introduce Hiyoshi’s unique features.
In the demonstration lesson, the Hiyoshigaoka students did self-introductions in English, simple warm-up quiz activities and a lesson and quiz game using comparatives in English. All of the students enjoyed themselves from the beginning to the end of the class.
Although learning in English made junior high school students nervous at first, they were gradually able to relax and found speaking English fun because thanks to the warm and helpful Hiyoshi students who gave them a hand as their senpai.
The 7 students from Hiyoshi were able to prepare a wonderful class in a very limited time right after their final exams.
They received a lot of compliments from the participants and their parents, and it was also a great opportunity for them to experience the fun of teaching.
