　As it starts down the long road to rebuilding damaged Kumamoto Castle, the Kumamoto city government is considering a novel campaign to help with funding. Officials are considering selling the roof tiles from the castle’s keep, which survived the powerful earthquakes in April. The municipal government is weighing the possibility as part of its efforts to raise funds for the restoration of the castle. It is also considering offering the tiles as commemorative gifts to donors.
