「書道演習」３年次生最後の授業で一人ひとりの軸作品が完成しました。

　最後の創作のテーマは「気持ちの高まりを可視化する」。
生徒たちはこれまで様々な書作品を学ぶ中で、気持ちの高まりを表現するためには“連綿（文字と文字をつなげて書くこと）”と“かすれ”を取り入れることが効果的だと考察するに至りました。各々好きな四字熟語を書き、古代の名人の書からヒントを得て自分の感情を表現することで、１年間のまとめとしました。
　出会いと別れを目前に、高まる今の感情をしたためた『今』を閉じ込めた作品に仕上がりました。表装も自分たちでしたので、愛着のある作品になったようです。鑑賞しあったり、自分の部屋に飾ることを想像したりと生徒たちのとても満足そうな姿が見られました。自分の思いも人の思いも大切に新たなステージでも頑張ってほしいです。

クリスマスイベント

12月18日（水）の午後、英語村においてクリスマスイベントが開催されました。皆、紙で雪の結晶を作ったり、クリスマスにちなんだワードサーチをしたり大きなガラスジャーの中にいくつキャンディが詰まっているか当てるゲーム（一番近い数字を予想した人は中身を全部もらえます！）をしながらクリスマスムード盛り上がる中、開会を心待ちにしていました。

最初はクリスマスの歴史、世界のクリスマスについてなどをALTのプレゼンで学びました。世界には私たちには想像もつかないお祝いの仕方があることを知り、同時に日本独特のクリスマス食「フライドチキン」が世界から見ると不思議だと知って皆、驚いていました。

その後メインイベントの「失われた手紙ゲーム」が始まりました。これはサンタ宛ての手紙の中にミッションが隠されていて制限時間内にいくつの封筒を制覇できるかというものです。ヒントが英語村の外にあるものもあって、チームに分かれた生徒達は走り回っていました。優勝者には英語村カフェで使える100円券が渡されました。

最後は音楽に合わせてプレゼントを回し音楽が止まった時にプレゼントを手にしていた者が包みを1枚はがし中から出てくるお菓子やカードをもらう「プレゼント回しゲーム」、その次は皆が持ち寄った本物のプレゼントを音楽に合わせて回してドキドキしながら楽しいひと時を過ごしました。

このイベントの中で世界共通のクリスマスの「隣人に思いやりを」をという気持ちを分かち合いました。

On the afternoon of December 18th, a Christmas party was held at HELLO Village. As the students waited eagerly for the event to
begin, they made snowflakes out of paper which were used to
decorate the communication space. There was also a raffle for a jar of candy where the closest guess to the amount inside of the jar
would be declared the winner and take home all of the treats.

The event kicked off with an engaging presentation by the ALTs on the history of Christmas. Students were eagerly listening and
learning about the diverse ways our four ALTs celebrate the holiday in their home countries. They were particularly surprised to
discover that some beloved Japanese Christmas traditions, like
eating Christmas cake and fried chicken, are unique to Japan.

After that, the main event, “Lost Letters” began. The theme
revolved around letters addressed to Santa Claus that somehow
ended up in HELLO Village, with missions embedded in them.
Students formed teams to be the first to complete as many
missions as possible from the Christmas envelopes. Some clues led them outside the village, and students ran enthusiastically around
the school. The winning teams received free tickets to the village
café.

Finally, we played a “Pass the Parcel” game. Participants passed
around a large present which had many layers while Christmas
music played. When the music stopped, the person left holding the present unwrapped a layer to reveal sweets or cards. Everyone
passed the presents with a feeling of anticipation and excitement, hoping to get the final prize in the center.

This heartwarming event helped us share the Christmas spirit of
charity and brought joy to all who participated.

三学期がはじまりました！

１月８日水に三学期の始業式を行いました。
始業式では、２学期や冬休みに活躍した生徒の表彰、２学期の生徒大会をへて改定された防寒着についての規定の周知説明、グローバルリーダー研修に参加した生徒からの募金の呼びかけなどがありました。
冷えこむ日が続きます。体調に気をつけつつ気持ちを新たに頑張りましょう。
