HELLO Village Week I Day1

　HELLO Village Week I（6月15日〜21日）が本日から始まりました。今回のテーマは「The Power of Music」で，音楽の歴史，世界各地の音楽，音楽の力・効果などについて学び，世界共通語としての音楽の可能性を探ります。
　初日の今日は、放課後イベントとしてALTのプレゼンテーション「Music Around the World」が行われました。
　まずALTのダニエルさんのパートでは，生徒たちは「世界にはどのような種類の音楽があるのか」などの問いについて話し合ったあと，世界の民族音楽についてその歴史的な背景などを含めて学びました。そのあと，「A whole New World」といったみんなが知っている英語の歌のサビを一緒に歌いました。
　次にALTのハロルドさんのパートでは，まずギター演奏とともにポップミュージックとは何かについての説明がありました。そして，リズムについてのミニレッスンを受けた後，生徒たちは身の回りにある紙コップやプラスチックのフタなどを使って自分だけの楽器を作り，思い思いの音を奏でました。
　HELLO Village Week Iは5日間の開催予定で21日（火）まで続きます。この後も、「Music Quiz」，「Hiyoshi Idol Talent Show」，「The Power of Music Presentation」などイベントが目白押しです。これからも英語村ではしっかりと感染予防対策を行いながら，英語や海外の文化に触れあう機会を提供していきます。

　HELLO Village Week I got started Today! The theme this time is ‘the Power of Music’. In this event, students learn the history of music, various kinds of music around the world, the power and effects of music, and then explore the possibility of music as a universal language.
　On the first day, students enjoyed experiencing music around the world with the guidance of our ALT Daniel and Harold.
　In Daniel’s part, students discussed questions such as ‘what genres of music are there in this world?’, and then Daniel explained various kinds of fork music in the world with their histories. After that, students and ALTs together sung famous English songs such as ‘A Whole New World’ and ‘Let It Go’.
　In Harold’s part, he first explained what pop music is with his guitar demonstration. After students had a mini rhythm lesson from Harold, they made their own musical instruments, using daily materials such as paper cups and plastic lids. They then enjoyed playing music by their instruments!
　In HELLO Village Week, various events such as ‘Music Quiz' and ‘The Power of Music Presentation’ are waiting for students. We are going to offer various opportunities for them to enjoy English and foreign cultures, taking appropriate preventive measures for protecting students from infection.
